What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are feeling disconnected, experiencing anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, and evolving couple dynamics including fertility and postnatal challenges. As a registered provider, and advocate with Postpartum Support International, I support parents who are struggling with Postpartum Blues and PMAD (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders). Additionally, I use an attachment- informed approach to support mothers in building bonds with their children, exploring sexual wellness, and dispelling common myths of parenthood. Using a holistic, compassionate, and culturally-considerate approach, I work to empower individuals and couples to experience healthy, fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session we will cover your history, background, identify what you want support with, and create goals collaboratively.I work with clients to understand their background, relationship patterns, and trauma histories to get a strong foundation for our work together. Our work will continue with regular talk therapy sessions, using research-backed methods such as Gottman Method Couples therapy, attachment-focused approach, polyvagal theory, parts work, and somatic experiencing. When doing couples therapy r relationship focused work we will help you understand how you got your needs met in your relationships with your primary caregivers early in life and how that has shaped your relationship patterns in the present day. We will then help you shift your style into a place that feels healthier and brings ease to your relationships. When I work with parents and mothers, we focus on the areas you need support, navigating your identity, sexuality, and mental health as a parent helping you have enriching relationship with yourself, your child, and your partner. I help you process any past trauma that may be impacting your present life, and become unburdened by old patterns that are exhausting you and limiting your experiences.
