Savannah Margaret Fredde, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
Hello, I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety and panic attacks, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, disordered eating, perfectionism, confidence struggles, and the lingering impact of abuse or sexual assault. I also support people who simply feel overwhelmed or like they’re constantly falling short—even when they’re doing everything they can. If you’ve ever felt like you’re giving everything you have and it still doesn’t feel like enough, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with are incredibly capable and caring, yet feel exhausted by the pressure to keep it all together—managing past experiences, relationship stress, responsibilities, and the expectations they carry for themselves. Sometimes what’s most needed is a space where you can finally take a breath. A place where you can show up exactly as you are, without having to meet anyone’s expectations—your own included—and without worrying that one wrong move will make everything fall apart. That’s the kind of space I strive to offer. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate, while also being honest and direct in a way that helps people move toward meaningful change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In counseling, one of the most important things to me is building a relationship that feels genuine and safe. I want our work together to feel comfortable and natural—not only a space where you feel understood and accepted, but one where you actually enjoy showing up. After all, opening up about the most personal parts of your life is difficult, and that kind of vulnerability can only happen when there is trust. My approach is trauma-informed and blends EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy. Together, these approaches help us gently explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be effecting your happiness, while also creating space for new ways of understanding yourself. I also incorporate evidence-based somatic practices—such as mindfulness and body-based awareness—to help you reconnect with your thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences, especially during moments of anxiety or overwhelm. When we slow down and begin to notice what is happening within us, it often becomes easier to understand the patterns that have shaped our lives and begin shifting them in a more supportive direction. My hope is that this work allows you to explore parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion, while gradually building a stronger sense of connection—to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to live.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

This process of finding a therapist can be scary and intimidating. I ultimately want you to find the best fit for you and your goals. Free consultations are offered. I'm currently accepting new clients and have evening availability. It’s your life. I’m here to help you explore, support and connect.
