Getting to know Savannah Williams

Welcome, I'm Savannah! I am a clinically licensed therapist (LCPC) with a Master's in Clinical Counseling from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and I'm more than excited that you took the step to seek support and care for your mental health. My approach is always client-centered. I meet you where you are, and we work together from there with trust, empathy, and understanding. I most often use ACT, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic modalities to help get you to where you need to be and use skills to maintain that progress. These modalities will help you understand and target specific behavioral or thought patterns you want to change. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD/exposures, trauma, stress management, life transitions, and school refusal/anxiety. Creating a safe space for you to grow and heal is my number one job. I will go at your pace while also challenging and pushing you when needed. After sessions, you will leave with tangible work and resources that will aid you in your progression. The work continues even after our sessions! After my first AP psychology class in high school, I knew what my life's purpose was. My drive is knowing I am making a difference in people's lives and spreading mental health resources to those in need. Goal setting is very important and often the compass that guides us during treatment. Together, we will put together specific goals and a treatment plan in your own words and break those goals down into obtainable achievements. During the first session, we will go through informed consent and safety and get to know each other. Afterwards, we will begin talking about where you would like to start with treatment.
