Getting to know Sayra Besner

Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing virtual therapy to clients across Florida. I specialize in supporting women and teenagers who are navigating challenges related to relationships, self-esteem, parenting, and major life transitions. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and real. Together, we will create a safe space where you can openly explore your experiences. Along the way, there may be moments of laughter, tears, and honest conversations as we normalize the reality that no one has it all together all the time. Through this process, we’ll work toward helping you reconnect with yourself and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence. If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and growth, I invite you to book a consultation to see how I can best support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our consultation call, we’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping to work on. We’ll also discuss expectations for the therapy process and review billing and insurance details to help avoid any confusion down the road. Because therapy is such a personal experience, it’s important that you feel comfortable and aligned with your provider. The consultation gives you a chance to see if my approach feels like a good fit for you. If it does, we’ll move forward and get you scheduled as soon as the next available appointment opens up. The process is simple, transparent, and designed to help you get started with support as smoothly as possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by meeting you exactly where you are, whether you’ve been in therapy before or this is your first time. In our early sessions, we’ll explore what has worked for you in the past, what hasn’t, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. I also take time to set clear and realistic expectations for what it’s like to work together. If you feel that the fit is right, we’ll begin working through your concerns step by step, focusing on manageable pieces rather than trying to solve everything at once. Together, we’ll build both short-term and long-term goals that help you move forward in a practical and meaningful way. My priority is that you feel comfortable, supported, and in control of your progress throughout the process.
