My name is Schemiley, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I am passionate about the transformative power of understanding, connection, and healing. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or trauma, I work collaboratively with individuals and families to tackle the underlying issues affecting overall well-being. My approach is compassionate and tailored to each person, integrating evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy, all while honoring your unique life experiences.
With over 19 years of experience in the mental wellness field and a strong background in Counseling, I have had the privilege of supporting many clients through challenging times. My experience spans a diverse range of individuals, from elementary school children to seniors, and I have had the joy of working with various demographics. Meeting people from different walks of life continues to enrich my practice.
I started my journey in mental health at a Community Mental Health agency at the age of 21. My time there ignited my passion for helping others, leading me to pursue a career as a Mental Health Counselor. I earned my master’s degree in 2013 from Palm Beach Atlantic University. After that, I continued my work in Community Mental Health as a counselor and later co-owned a substance abuse treatment center. My background in teaching has also enhanced my ability to educate clients effectively.
I firmly believe that building a healthy rapport with my clients is essential for effective therapy. I look forward to supporting you through virtual sessions, making it convenient for you to start your healing journey at your own pace and in a comfortable setting.
