What should a new client know about working with you?

I utilized eclectic evidence base approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT informed, psychodynamic techniques, motivational interviewing, solution focus, existential technique, and other theoretical modalities by collaboratively partnering with my clients to identify and develop their personal treatment needs. Recovery and healing is a journey and I am here to help! I am a very compassionate person, kind, understanding, goal driven, hard-working and passionate about justice, empowerment, and seeing others succeed, heal, recover so that they can be the best person they want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session takes about 60 minutes for the first session and subsequent/follow up sessions might take 60, 45 to 30 minutes depending on issues being discussed. The first session is typically focused on exploration of presenting problem, reviewing intake assessments, gathering further information to clarify intake assessments completed, understanding, formulating, conceptualizing a working hypothesis. If time allows during the first session to attempt to make sense of underlying issues related to presenting problem and possibly establish a treatment plan.
