Shaana holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University (2012) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Personality Psychology from the University of South Florida (2006). She is a licensed practitioner through the Florida Department of Health with a certification in Mental Health Counseling (2016) and is also a Qualified Supervisor. Before embarking on her therapeutic career, Shaana made significant contributions in Child Welfare within the Florida Department of Children and Families. She also served in the specialized Family Dependency and Treatment Court unit, acting as a crucial liaison between families and the state’s judicial system. Shaana’s expertise spans children, teens, families, couples, and faith-based counseling. Her rich background in social work fuels her innovative and meaningful approaches to restoring broken families and aiding children and teens. She employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Parental Coaching, and Spiritual Awareness to foster radical self-exploration, transformation, and healing. Known for her gentle and compassionate approach, Shaana connects deeply with her clients, addressing their core emotional needs. She believes in the undeniable power and resilience within each of us to overcome life’s challenges. Shaana’s belief is that it’s never too late to pursue balanced health, joy, and success. Shaana is an active member of the Suncoast Mental Health Counselors Association (SMCHA) and The Network of Christian Counselors (NCC). She was the 2023 ‘Outstanding Community Partner’ award recipient for University of South Florida’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and community engagement.
