Obtaining both her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas University, Thomasville, GA, Shakilah continues to accomplish professional milestones in her career; becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II), a certified Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist (MATS), as well as obtaining licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Professional Counselors' Supervisor (CPCS), becoming a certified life coach, and now a business owner. Shakilah is currently employed at Truth Is Therapy & More, LLC as Clinical Supervisor and Mindset Transformation Coach, providing both therapeutic and coaching services to high-value individuals. She is also a full-time mom to two very energetic and goal-oriented boys. Shakilah has always possessed a keen interest in helping others by shedding light for them to become their authentic selves; however, when life truly began happening for Shakilah, she became the mission and the goal—she became the obligation of the assignment, understanding that it all starts with self. Using a whole-self approach, remaining solution-focused while addressing the needs of her own mind, body, and spirit, she identified what wasn’t working and focused on getting back to balance.
