I believe therapy begins with feeling heard, understood, and comfortable. As a Clinical Intake Therapist, I take a person-centered approach and strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients can openly share their concerns and goals. With over four years of experience in community mental health, outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, trauma-informed care, and court-involved populations, my goal is to help clients feel supported from their very first interaction and connect them with the services that best meet their needs. My educational background is in Psychology and Sociology, and I remain committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care to the communities I serve.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a Clinical Intake Therapist, I serve as the first point of contact for new and returning clients entering our agency. During the intake process, we will begin by reviewing the limits of confidentiality and your rights as a client before completing a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. I provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns, discuss your goals for treatment, and identify any additional information you feel is important to your care. While some topics discussed during intake may feel personal or difficult, gathering this information helps ensure that you are connected to the most appropriate level of care and provides your assigned therapist with the foundation needed to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
