Shana Reiss, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
If you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions, I'm here to help. As a therapist practicing in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy-a research-backed method that's been shown to offer faster, longer-lasting relief than traditional talk therapy. Whether you're feeling stuck in the past, battling constant worry, or struggling with intense memories or emotional triggers, EMDR can help you find peace and regain control over your life. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University, which laid the foundation for my compassionate, evidence-based approach. I work particularly well with Gen Z clients who value a down-to-earth, empathetic style. Together, we'll create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what's holding you back without fear of judgment. Life's challenges don't have to define you, and I'm here to help you rediscover your sense of self and build a life worth living. In my practice, I blend evidence-based techniques with a holistic approach tailored to your unique needs. We'll work together to uncover your strengths, develop practical tools to manage daily stress, and help you break free from toxic patterns. If you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, let's connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help my clients uncover their strengths and guide them towards living life to its fullest. Whether you're navigating the shadows of past trauma, seeking to mend relationships with yourself or others, or ready to shed those limiting beliefs that have held you back, I'm dedicated to walking this path alongside you. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, because I know firsthand the power of feeling heard and supported. If you're ready to embark on a transformative journey towards self-discovery and empowerment, let's connect. You deserve this, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After you reach out to me, I'll complete a free assessment with you over the phone so that I can get a full picture of your history, as well as what's been causing you to seek support (approx. 15-20 minutes.) Once we do that, we can begin our sessions. Sessions will take place over video.
