What should a new client know about working with you?

All clients have confidentiality as a safe space is one built on trust. I encourage my clients to feel free to be completely honest with me about interventions, psychoeducation, and homework's assigned. Everyone is unique, thus tools and techniques that works for one may not work for others. Also, I have experience with diverse backgrounds by understanding and respecting different cultures, however, I am a strong believer in collaborating to understand more in multiple cultures. I guide my clients as they actualize their goals, showing empathy and compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Building rapport, ensuring understanding with a warm and non-judgmental environment, exploring the client's past and current situational circumstance. I foster understanding and validation of client's emotions, needs, and desires .Throughout this process I also assess and evaluate client's history, symptoms, and current situation to determine an appropriate treatment approach. Initial sessions always highlight therapeutic goals the client would like to work towards. I am a firm believer in my clients being a expert on themselves, therefore, collaborating to develop specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals is essential.
