Getting to know Shannon Elizabeth

I am Shannon Elizabeth, LCPC, a licensed clinical professional counselor dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating life’s challenges and fostering personal growth. My approach is client-centered, combining evidence-based techniques with compassionate care to create a safe and supportive environment. I work with clients to develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change at their own pace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a collaborative and client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals. Sessions are a safe space for exploring thoughts and feelings, learning coping strategies, and working toward meaningful change. I combine evidence-based techniques with empathy and support, helping clients gain insight, build resilience, and create positive shifts in their lives. My style is warm, attentive, and nonjudgmental, and I encourage open communication so that therapy feels comfortable and productive from the first session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, we begin by understanding your goals, challenges, and current life circumstances. I typically start with an initial assessment to get a clear picture of your needs and collaboratively set therapy goals. Sessions often include open discussion, exploration of thoughts and feelings, and practical strategies for coping and growth. I incorporate evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual, such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and skill-building exercises. Throughout therapy, we regularly review progress and adjust strategies to ensure sessions remain focused and effective for you.
