Shannon Stringer, LMFT

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there! My name is Shannon Stringer, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in Washington, Texas, and Colorado. I have been practicing since 2018. I am ready to help my clients navigate issues in a growth-oriented and non-judgmental manner. I have a collaborative approach to therapy and believe that, as a team, we can create, work on, and meet goals. I work through teletherapy to foster that collaborative, growth process for those struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal concerns, and trauma. I earned my Master's in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, which laid the foundation for my therapeutic work. My approach My approach to therapy is eclectic. I will work with you to find a modality that best supports your growth and goals. Whether that involves experiential, somatic, or behavioral therapy, we will create a plan that suits you best. My focus I frequently work with adult clients who are navigating life transitions and may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. This often includes dealing with relational issues and trauma as well. My communication style I provide a safe, relaxed environment in session. I am compassionately direct and have been known to use humor at times. I offer a non-judgmental space where we can discuss just about anything. Honesty is important to me and in the therapy room. I provide reflection to help you gain further insight. If anything doesn't resonate with you, please let me know. My journey to mental healthcare After working in the medical field for years, I decided to go back to school to become a therapist after realizing the impact of having a validating, supportive, compassionate person in your corner. Even throughout my own therapy journey, I have seen the profound impact of having someone there to help guide you toward your greatest potential.
