Shannon Woolf, MA

Psychotherapist
UT
I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah and Montana since 2012, with a Master’s in Counseling from Capella University. I’m truly passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and improve their well-being. I find immense satisfaction in connecting with my clients and creating a space where they feel understood and supported. My approach involves careful listening, collaborative exploration, and developing a personalized plan to address your unique needs and goals. I believe everyone has the strength within to find healing and growth, and I’m here to guide you on that journey. My focus includes anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues (family and couple), goal setting, ADHD, OCD, parenting, school or work stress, and PTSD. I am also comfortable seeing adolescents. I am a therapist who is kind, caring, and easy to talk to. However, I am also direct and straightforward. I believe this approach is most effective in helping clients make progress in therapy. I love watching clients realize their full potential. It is a privilege to be part of their journey, and I get great satisfaction from seeing them succeed. I enjoy meeting clients where they are and joining them on the journey to where they want to be. I understand that therapy doesn’t work unless the client is ready to make changes, and sometimes that can feel overwhelming. I strive to come alongside clients and work with them to break things down into more manageable steps. In the first session, I will ask about what is most important to you and your goals. I will assess what work you are ready to do, what you have tried, and what you are comfortable trying going forward. I provide a safe space for you to explore where you are at. I know this might feel overwhelming at times, but know that you are not doing this alone!
