Hello, I am Shari. Are you looking for someone you can feel safe with to address your needs without judgment? Are you seeking someone authentic and supportive? Are you having difficulty finding a therapist who will be honest and direct?
I work well with anyone motivated to start addressing their concerns right away. I believe finding the right therapist can be challenging, but it should never be a barrier to getting help. Therapy should feel comfortable and natural. I am often told I have a way of helping people feel as if they have known me before.
I like to understand the source of your problem and then explore together how that source influences your thinking. People live life through their experiences, which do not always serve us well in today's world. I also believe in working from a holistic approach. Did you know our daily routines can either prolong recovery or cause mental instability?
I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have experienced being in a therapeutic relationship myself and believe in normalizing the need to seek help in this way.
What should a new client know about working with you?
After our first session, we will begin to build rapport and attempt to identify your goals. I will help create a safe space for us to work together. I encourage clients to learn steps to take that work for them. Therapy in many cases helps set the foundation for you to learn interventions so you do not have to feel dependent on your therapist every time. The goal is for us to get to a place where you reach out for maintenance just as you would get a tune-up or oil change on your car. Reach out to me and see if we are a good fit for each other!

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
