What should a new client know about working with you?

The foundation of my approach is based on the philosophy that our mind and body are intimately connected. I believe that in order to transform your mental health, you can’t just simply treat behaviors or “distorted” thought patterns. That’s why I combined creative, mind-body, cognitive, AND behavioral methods. I believe that art therapy elevates and enriches traditional psychotherapy, increasing pathways that promote healing and wellness. I think that therapy should never feel harsh, judgmental, or purely change-driven. That’s why I provide non-pathologizing care that balances acceptance and change. I accept you for who you are right now, and also acknowledge that some patterns of thinking, behaving or relating are are inhibiting growth. I infuse creativity in sessions along with talk therapy. You don't need to make art in sessions but I will invite you to partake in creative exercises to strengthen the therapy process.
