I’m passionate about creating an atmosphere of trust and safety where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. I actively engage in the therapeutic process and use a warm and empathetic style. Using experiential therapies, I will guide you through a transformative experience. Equally important, I will equip you with the tools needed to maintain your treatment gains. My background as a Licensed Professional Counselor, with an MEd in Counseling Psychology from Texas State University, allows me to help a wide range of people. My practice focuses primarily on individual and couples therapy, addressing interpersonal relational issues, eating disorders, addiction recovery, depression, anxiety, and stress reduction. I've trained in several modalities that have been supportive and useful in helping clients. I am certified in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Level One trained in Somatic Experiencing. Other modalities in which I have extensive training and experience include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies. Furthermore, I provide supervision to individuals earning their LPC-Associate hours. Weekly supervision is geared toward case consultation, feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, application of theories, differential diagnosis, and ethics.
