Getting to know Sharon Rouls

I’m a therapist who leads with empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I meet you exactly where you are in your journey. I don’t expect perfection, and I don’t believe healing follows a rigid timeline. What I offer instead is a grounded, supportive space where you can slow down, be heard, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. I work with both adults and teens, understanding that every stage of life brings its own challenges. Whether you're a young person trying to navigate identity, pressure, emotions, and relationships, or an adult feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, therapy can be a place where you finally feel safe enough to be real. In our work together, your experiences, background, and identity are honored. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can talk about the hard things without judgment, pressure, or the need to perform or “have it all together.” Whether you're navigating overwhelm, self-doubt, life transitions, or trying to reconnect with your inner sense of direction, we’ll approach it together with compassion and honesty.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with Teens: Being a teen right now can feel like a lot. There’s pressure from school, social media, family expectations, & the constant question of “What am I supposed to do with my life? Maybe you’re dealing with anxiety, feeling unsure about who you are, struggling with confidence, or worrying about what comes after high school. Sometimes it feels like everyone else has it figured out while you’re still trying to make sense of things. First, you’re not alone. In our sessions, you don’t have to pretend to be okay or have the “right” answers. This is a space where you can talk honestly about what’s going on in your life without feeling judged. Together, we’ll work on understanding what you’re feeling, building confidence in who you are, managing stress & anxiety, and helping you figure out your next steps in a way that actually feels right for you. You deserve support, clarity, and the chance to grow into the person you’re becoming. Working with Adults: You may be someone who carries a lot for everyone else, the dependable one, the problem-solver, the one people lean on. Yet beneath the surface you may feel overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of overthinking, burnout, or quiet self-doubt. Maybe you’ve spent years prioritizing responsibilities, expectations, and other people’s needs while your own inner voice, confidence, and sense of direction slowly faded into the background. You might be questioning your career path, feeling unfulfilled in work that once made sense, struggling with boundaries, or trying to break patterns like people-pleasing and perfectionism that have kept you in survival mode. What once helped you succeed may now feel misaligned with who you are becoming. My work centers on helping adults move from emotional overload and self-doubt toward clarity, self-trust, & grounded decision-making. Together we explore the patterns, beliefs, and life experiences that shape how you show up in relationships, work, & the way you relate to yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My style blends thoughtful structure with creativity and reflection. I often help people move out of cycles of overthinking and emotional exhaustion and into greater understanding, peace, and self-trust. Therapy with me is collaborative. We’ll explore patterns, build insight, and develop tools that support the life and relationships you want to create. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your inner voice, and more aligned with the version of life you want to live. If you’re ready to begin that journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
