Getting to know Sharona Herskovits

Hi, my name is Sharona Herskovits, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New York. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University. I have been in the field for over 20 years and feel truly blessed to work with clients ranging from young adults to the elderly, dealing with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship challenges, anger management, and family concerns, to name a few. I will be calling you within 24 hours to follow up.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I received a masters degree from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in NYC and have dedicated half my life to the field of mental health. A "caring, compassionate and supportive therapist" are some terms that have been used to describe me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I view therapy as interactive and my clients will always feel respected and heard. My treatment approach is pretty laid back, but is set on the foundation of having a therapeutic relationship, to include using theories such as: Psychodynamic, patient centered and solution focused. It has been an honor and privilege to assist people through some of the most difficult times of their lives. And I look forward to doing the same for you.
