Psychotherapist
MI
I’m a licensed clinical therapist who specializes in direct, solution-focused care for individuals and families navigating high-stress situations, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. My practice is grounded in compassion, structure, and truth, with a strong focus on real-time clarity, personal accountability, and practical tools for growth. If you’re ready to face hard truths and do the emotional work, I’m here to walk with you. My approach is direct, compassionate, and grounded in real-life application. I use evidence-based tools—primarily CBT and trauma-informed care—to help clients understand their patterns, build emotional resilience, and take meaningful steps forward. I don’t believe in sugar-coating or surface-level conversations. I challenge gently but firmly, always aiming to help you see yourself more clearly and move with intention. Sessions with me are structured, emotionally safe, and centered on truth, accountability, and practical change. I work best with individuals who are navigating high-stress situations, trauma, or emotionally intense transitions—especially those who need clarity in the moment, not just processing over time. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, relationship conflict, family disruption, legal or systemic challenges, or unresolved trauma. I also support children and families who need structure, emotional safety, and tools for communication and resilience. My ideal clients are open to being challenged with care, willing to face uncomfortable truths, and ready to do the emotional work that healing requires.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is direct, honest, and grounded in compassion. I don’t believe in sugar-coating or passive listening—I give real feedback in real time, always with care and respect. I aim to create a space where you feel emotionally safe but also challenged to grow. I’ll reflect what I see, ask hard questions, and hold you accountable—while staying fully present, nonjudgmental, and focused on your progress. My journey to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own lived experience with trauma, legal hardship, single parenting, and domestic violence. I know what it’s like to rebuild from rock bottom—and that insight fuels the compassion and clarity I bring into every session. I became a therapist because I wanted to be the kind of provider I once needed: someone real, grounded, and unafraid to speak the truth with love. That perspective allows me to connect deeply with clients who are navigating chaos, pain, or major life transitions—and walk with them toward healing and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I help clients set clear, realistic goals by first identifying what’s actually getting in their way—emotionally, mentally, or behaviorally. We don’t just talk about change—we map it out. I use CBT, trauma-informed strategies, and real-life tools to break big goals into small, consistent actions. I keep you focused, track your progress, and challenge you when avoidance or self-sabotage shows up. Growth is uncomfortable, but I’ll walk with you every step, helping you stay accountable and aligned with the future you’re working toward. Our first session is focused on clarity, connection, and setting the tone for our work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change, and what’s been getting in the way. I’ll ask questions to get a sense of your patterns, stress points, and goals—and I’ll also be upfront about how I work, so you can decide if it feels like a good fit. You can expect a session that’s structured, respectful, and direct—but never cold. My goal is to give you immediate insight and a sense of direction from day one.
