Getting to know Shawn Veazey

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida with 21 years of experience in the field and 14 years post-graduate from the University of South Florida, where I earned my Master's in Social Work. When I share my personal journey to becoming an LCSW, I always say this field chose me. The experiences I have had in this field are truly awe-inspiring and life-changing. I hope that through the connections I make with each client, they leave feeling empowered and inspired to lead the life they desire and deserve. I have experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, military-related trauma, LGBTQIA+ individuals, chronic illness, and those facing death and dying. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients of all ages. Currently, I focus on working with adults and offer Solutions Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have chosen these modalities because they focus less on the problem and more on the solution and where you would like to be. They are empowerment-based, placing you as the expert in the treatment room and of your own life. I am there merely as a guide to help you uncover your own potential and strengths. More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
