Getting to know Sheatha Grandison

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* When you face struggles in everyday life, do you recognize them or know how to identify what is causing them' If you don't, that is okay and quite common for a person in your situation. I will offer you a space where you can share your difficulties and begin to identify the source of your discomfort and anxiety. As an immigrant and a person of color, I have a unique perspective on the world which helps me understand and relate to those with diverse backgrounds. I primarily serve adults who are struggling with all that being an adult requires-communicating with partners, navigating the workplace, and making countless decisions every day. I hope to help you overcome these obstacles and teach you new skills to make you a better communicator in all aspects of life. In our sessions together, I will offer you a safe, relaxing environment where you are free to explore your past traumas. I strive to be empathetic and comforting as we work through these difficulties together. Said one of Sheatha's patients: “I love that my feelings are validated during my sessions though I would like to be challenged more or encouraged to challenge myself emotionally. Sheatha has been a great listener!” Said another patient: “This entire experience has encouraged me to be very hopeful about the future. I feel like I am taking my time and making choices that will ultimately benefit me. Many times I have made choices like rolling a dice.” Sheatha Grandison has a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Sheatha is a Licensed Social Worker, LSW 44SL05934500 at Cerebral. Supervised by Patricia Wallace, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 44SC05346300.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients who are struggling to identify the source of their discomfort, feeling anxiety at their job, having difficulty communicating with their partner, and struggling to navigate the many decisions that come with being an adult. Their goals are to lead healthier lives, become better people, and improve the way they show up for themselves.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Working with me feels easy and relaxing. Sharing some of the deepest moments of your life can be scary and unnerving, but doing it with someone who is empathetic and will handle the delicacies of your life with compassion, can make the journey worth all the effort. I hope to help you overcome these obstacles and teach you new skills. As an immigrant and a person of color, I have a unique perspective on the world which helps me understand and relate to those with diverse backgrounds. If you have been struggling to identify the source of your discomfort, feel anxious at your job, have difficulty communicating with your partner, and are struggling to navigate the many decisions that come with being an adult, I want to help you. I will help you set and reach goals to live a healthier life, improve how you show up for others, and become a better version of yourself.
