Getting to know Dr. Sheila Maestre Bonet
"I'm a Clinical Psychologist licensed in Florida & Puerto Rico with a Clinical Psychology degree from Ponce Health Sciences University (2005). With 18 years' experience, I cater to adolescents & adults battling with issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship-related trauma, self-esteem, etc.
My career includes work in private practice and universities, teaching Psychology at master's and doctoral levels, and graduate student supervision. Currently, I run a private practice for adults only. I use the biopsychosocial model and predominantly cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and transpersonal therapy.
I hold Gottman method couples therapy certification, Milton Erickson Institute's pain management hypnosis certification, and Dr. Amen University's Brain Health Coaching certification. In the initial session, we'll discuss the client's problems and collaborate on a treatment plan for improving mental health.
