I'm Shekhina, a Multiracial Messianic Jewish Believer in Yeshua (Jesus) as my L-rd and Savior, as well as a Psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Licensed Behavioral Consultant based in Philadelphia, PA. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Grand Canyon University and have over 25 years of counseling experience. Since 2019, I have owned and founded The Counselor's Heart Therapeutic Services. My mission is to help individuals identify the root of dysfunctional behavior and break the cycle of sin, toxic patterns, and general curses. People often "move forward with time, but never move on," meaning they progress through time but remain stuck in past hurts. As a Psychotherapist, my desire is to help clients truly move on and live productive, healthy lives free from the haunting effects of past trauma.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Although we had a great session, it would be nice to know prior that she would not be taking in new patients. I would have liked to see her again, but she sent me some recommendations for providers who do not fit the same criteria and/or are not accepting. I appreciated the service, but the communication and not being able to book another session was disappointing.

The reason I chose Shekhina was because her approach is Biblical. Even though she addresses all my issues, she brings it back to the Word of God and that's exactly what I was looking for. Very happy I found her.
