Getting to know Shelby Harvey
Hello and welcome! My name is Shelby Harvey, and I am an LCPC in Illinois. I was born and raised in Central Illinois, where I still reside with my family. I received my Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and my Master's degree in Counseling from Lincoln Christian University. I have worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, substance use treatment facilities, school-based settings, and private practice.
I enjoy working with young adults and couples. My style of therapy is warm and person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to support you as you find your answers and challenge you to try new things as needed. I want to be a part of your journey toward becoming the successful individual you want to become.
What should a new client know about working with you?
At the end of the first session I aim to have a pathway for where we are headed in therapy based on your struggles and your goals.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
