Shelby Mcdannald, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
As a therapist, I'm passionate about helping both teens and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and hope. I specialize in supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and life transitions. When working with teens, I enjoy working with teens who are open to engaging in the therapy process. Therapy tends to be most effective when adolescents are willing to participate, share their experiences, and work collaboratively toward change. If a teen is strongly resistant or unwilling to participate, therapy may not be the right fit at that time. I seek to create a space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person's needs. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ACT and DBT to help clients build practical coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier emotional responses.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
