What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience in the social service field. I obtained my MSW from the University of Central Florida in 2020 and completed my Florida State licensure in 2022. I began working in social services in 2012 in a Head Start program and it was there I discovered my passion to help and support children and families. I worked for Head Start for ten years until I joined a mental Health agency in 2022. I currently work as a child and adolescent therapist and provide individual, group, and family counseling. I also have a long family military connection and decided to open my own practice to better serve my community, including providing support to our military and veteran community and their families. I offer a variety of services options and would love to connect with you for a free 15-minute consultation to see what services are best for you. I am so excited to be on this path with you and look forward to helping you fortify your strengths and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients are referred by a physician, family support services, other community clinical program, or self-referral. I provide a free 15-minute consultation to discuss the needs of the client and determine an appropriate treatment option. Once the client and I have agreed upon the treatment, we will schedule the initial session to discuss the clients strengths and needs in further detail and develop treatment goals. Depending on the services needed, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions will be scheduled. I use a variety of evidenced-based diagnostic approaches to determining a clinical diagnosis as well as clinical and holistic approaches to treatment depending on the need and comfort of the client.
