Hello! My name is Shequeeta Barnes, but you can call me Q. I am originally from Colorado Springs and have found myself loving Northern Colorado. I am married and have a very energetic one-year-old who keeps me on my toes. I graduated from Colorado State University in 2018 with a Master of Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the years, I have worked in many clinical settings, which has given me a wealth of experience in helping clients navigate their unique challenges. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based. I firmly believe that our strengths help us navigate through any challenging situation and increase our resilience. Everyone has something powerful and unique about them, and my goal is to help you uncover and harness these strengths. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, or navigating life transitions, I am here to support you. I also specialize in adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, stress, and trauma. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth sessions for those who prefer or require remote therapy. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard and valued. I strive to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Northern Colorado.
