Life transitions can be really hard. Even the good ones like graduation, marriage, and promotions can bring stress and worry. The harder ones like abuse, divorce, and living with challenging relationships can really knock you off your feet and bring out a part of you that prevents you from living the life you want. I am a licensed mental health counselor with more than 30 years of experience helping people work through whatever life has thrown at them. I hold a Master's in Psychology from the University of West Florida. My goal has always been to provide a safe space for people to say what's on their mind without the pressure of expectation or judgment. I'm a real person who loves to help. Life is hard and sometimes you need a minute to breathe. You deserve a space to find your peace and to decide what YOU want to do. If you're ready to take the first step, reach out to me. We can figure it out together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my practice I specialize in helping people get out of their own way by challenging their thinking, looking at things from a different perspective, and teaching new ways of doing things. You will learn to find moments of peace in ways you never expected, find your voice when you need to stand up for yourself, and hold your tongue when it's best.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I know it can be hard to take the first step to engage in therapy and then to take the risk to say what's really on your mind. I've worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings and I've learned that it's best to let you take the lead and set the pace for our sessions. My sessions typically start with simple greetings and invitations to hear what you have to say and what you want to work on. I take a trauma informed approach to understand your experiences and help you resolve concerns you may have. My goal is to provide a calm and welcoming place for you to be seen and heard so you can grow and thrive in ways you want to.
