Psychotherapist
FL
Hello, I'm Sherry! Counseling or talk therapy is a tool that can assist you in improving your performance at work, learning new or healthier ways to manage difficult life stressors or problems, or even developing an increased level of confidence with your decision-making skills and much more. It is okay not to have all the right answers today... smile! My ultimate goal is to make sure that you feel supported and comfortable– working with a therapist should make you feel the same way you do when you put on your favorite pair of jeans... ready for anything! I am a Nationally Certified Counselor with dual master’s degrees in Professional Counseling (2017) and Marriage and Family Therapy (2018) from Amberton University. I am licensed in Texas as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). For the past 5 years, I have worked across many treatment settings including inpatient, private practice, non-profit organizations, and corporate employee assistance programs. My passion is working with individuals and families as they discover how to manage life's transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. I also specialize in helping with military/veteran support, multicultural/diversity issues, sex/intimacy issues, addiction, family relationships, life transitions, intimate/romantic relationships, and stress.
