Hello, I'm Sherry Graves, LCSW, CADC II. I believe that my personal experiences have played a significant role in my own healing journey, and it's this journey that has made me a survivor. I'm excited to connect with individuals who are ready to embark on their own paths to healing and start living beyond their scars. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, I bring over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse. I earned my master's degree from Long Island University in New York City in 2006. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in various settings, including the NYC Dept. for the Aging, Elderly Crime Victims Resource Center, Residential Substance Abuse Programs, Drug Court, Grady Assertive Community Team (ACT Team), and hospitals. My work has involved collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including the Dept. of Family & Children Services (DFACS), Mobile Crisis, Psychiatrists, Doctors, the courts, and Law Enforcement, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and the elderly, focusing on issues such as addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family and intimate relationships, narcissistic personality disorder, spirituality, trauma, and stress. My counseling approaches include Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Spirituality Counseling, Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have a deep commitment to addressing Self-Esteem & Empowerment, Codependency, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Substance Abuse, and Women's Issues. If you are seeking a warm, safe, and nurturing environment to share your deepest feelings, look no further. My ministry and calling are centered around helping individuals in need of healing and recovery, guiding them from brokenness to discovering beauty and purpose in their scars.
