Getting to know Sherry Norris
I am committed to guiding you to meet your goals, while offering excellent therapy and support. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you as we embark on your sacred journey together. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a sacred and collaborative partnership. It begins with the therapist creating a safe and empathic environment of warmth and compassion. My therapeutic approach draws from multiple modalities, as I consider myself to be eclectic, tailoring my approach to fit your specific needs. I believe in beginning where you are, with no agenda. I see myself as an invited guest on your journey and I will support you as you gain clarity, discover new ideas and find balance in your life. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at California State University Northridge and completed my Master's Degree at Phillips Graduate Institute, Encino California in Marriage Family Therapy. I have 23 years experience in treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, divorce, life transitions, parenting and communication difficulties. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, school settings, residential and outpatient treatment facilities, as well as receiving certification in grief counseling.
