Getting to know Sherry Verdel

Welcome to Sage Leaf Healing Center! I provide client-centered and solution-focused counseling to help support your journey to wellness and help you navigate life through challenges so that you can get back to living fully again. I have a Master's Degree in Community and Addiction Counseling from The College of William Mary with a minor in Family Counseling and a certification in School Counseling. I've taken coursework in art therapy, spirituality counseling, family play therapy, and motivational interviewing. I've worked in a variety of settings including psychiatric care, schools, trauma centers, domestic violence shelters, substance abuse treatment centers and general counseling agencies.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a holistic approach by helping you explore whether nutrition and lifestyle could help enhance your treatment, and I use a variety of creative approaches including art journaling and guided imagery. I focus first and foremost on listening to you and helping you find the answers to your challenges within yourself.
