Getting to know Sherry Wu

I believe every individual has the capacity for healing, and my goal is to collaborate with you to unlock your true potential. I support clients through challenges like anxiety, relationship issues, and struggles with self-esteem and identity. My approach combines active listening, open dialogue, and practical exercises to encourage self-reflection and growth. Therapy can transform lives by fostering self-understanding, building coping skills, and promoting resilience, helping you find peace and fulfillment while navigating life's complexities.
I create a warm, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to express themselves with compassion and an open heart, often lightened with humor. Outside of therapy, I stay grounded through nature walks, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with my cat. I also prioritize self-care by staying active and going to the gym.
Now is the perfect time to take the next step in therapy-an opportunity to prioritize your well-being and create meaningful change. If you're uncertain, remember seeking help is an empowering step toward self-understanding and clarity. You deserve support and the chance to thrive. This first step could be the beginning of a transformative journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?
My ideal clients are individuals, particularly within the AAPI community, who face challenges like stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and family dynamics. With my Chinese American background, I understand the cultural complexities and the stigma around mental health in many communities. I’m committed to helping clients navigate their unique cultural experiences while also welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
When working with clients, my first priority is meeting them where they are in their journey. I create a safe, comfortable space where clients can open up at their own pace, explore their goals, and move forward when they're ready. While I may gently challenge them to foster growth, I always ensure our sessions remain supportive. My ultimate goal is to help clients develop lasting wellness strategies that empower them to navigate life with confidence and resilience.
