UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My goal as a therapist is to provide client-centered services in which the focus of therapy revolves around a client's current needs. This means that I tailor treatment goals specifically to each client rather than using the same approach for all. I have worked with clients of all ages, from infants to 70 years old, and over the past six years, I have been humbled by each individual's story and their willingness to share and trust me in the therapeutic process. I strive to support my clients in the ways they need during treatment, and I am honored to be a part of "doing the work" with them. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, which has equipped me with the skills to provide compassionate and effective care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal as a therapist is to provide client-centered services in which the focus of therapy revolves around a client's current needs. This means that I do not tend to work with all clients in the same ways and try to get a feel in the beginning of treatment where you are at as a client. I want to be sure that your treatment goals are catered to the type of therapy a client needs rather than solely one therapy model. I have worked with clients of all ages from infants up until 70 years old, ranging from various presenting concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, fertility, relational problems, and more. Although I have seen numerous clients in the past 6 years, I am always humbled by each individuals' story and their willingness to share with me and trust me in the therapeutic process. I try my best to support my clients in the ways they need during treatment as I am honored to be a part of "doing the work" with them!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the beginning of treatment, I like to get to know my clients including their history in therapy if any, activities they enjoy, social supports, and anything else they feel is important for me to know for the therapeutic process. I also let my clients know that they can feel free to ask me questions as well as they get to know me as a therapist and person. We then explore together their reasons for coming to therapy to see that achievable goals are created for treatment and we begin to work on these goals each week to ensure my clients' needs are met. The overall goal for my clients in therapy is to see that they learn how to manage the challenges in their life through the skills and techniques learned in therapy while also having the opportunity to gain new perspectives, insight, and resources as they process their experiences.
