I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in seven states, primarily in Arkansas. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University. My approach to therapy is conversational, connected, and holistic. I focus mainly on working with adults and sometimes with couples or families. My approach I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and principles of Emotion-Focused Therapy, all within an overarching systemic perspective when working with clients. In the online setting, I also incorporate some Solution-Focused techniques. I am certified as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Educator by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, as well as an Advanced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. As an adoptive mom and former foster parent, I bring a unique perspective on parenting and relationships. My focus I have had successful experience addressing trauma, foster/adoption-related issues, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, career difficulties, coaching, compassion fatigue, and adults with ADHD. My communication style I tend to approach therapy in a welcoming and laid-back fashion. I work to hold a safe space where you can feel what needs to be felt, say what needs to be said, and express those emotions as needed. We will laugh, say hard things, and cry if we need to! My goals for you We will create goals collaboratively.
