If yes, I'm glad you are here. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I provide compassionate and professional mental health care, creating a safe space for you to explore and express your emotions. Together, we will work toward healing, self-confidence, and well-being. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!

What should a new client know about working with you?

***I only offer individual therapy to women at this time.*** I empower adult women and teenage girls to navigate life's challenges, through therapy services. I strive to create an environment where you feel supported, safe, and validated, in order to address any issue on which you choose to focus. Any topic can be addressed during our sessions. I may sometimes gently challenge a thought or behavior which you share but, of course, with the intention of helping you feel better. Therapy with me will help you blossom into a stronger and more resilient version of you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you are ready, find a time that works for your schedule and book your session. During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals for our work together, and we will begin to discuss a plan of how to help you feel better. I know that the partnership between myself and you is what will help you benefit most from our time together. Therefore, I invite your feedback and will likely check in with you throughout the period of time that we work together.

Initial session: $300 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $225 for 55 minutes

    I do not take any insurance. I bill through a HIPPAA compliant credit card payment system called IvyPay. After your initial session, you will receive a link to fill out your credit card information. Upon request, I can provide you with a monthly super bill which contains information which insurance company require in order to give you reimbursement.     Shira is extremely an knowledgeable, competent, and compassionate therapist. She was a fundamental support to me throughout a difficult time and was the springboard for my healing.     Shira is everything you’d want in a therapist. She’s warm and smart, patient and kind. From the first time I met her, I knew she was good at what she does.
