Psychotherapist
NY
Welcome to your therapy process! I see the therapist role as a privilege, and I would be honored to facilitate the healing process with you. I am deeply passionate about therapy work because I understand what a place dedicated to healing and growing can bring. With the experience I have gained from my years in the field, my specialized training, and my Master's in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University, I help my individual and couple clients understand the difficulties that bring them to therapy, where these difficulties stem from, and heal those wounds so they can make changes to what is needed and resolve the distress. I intentionally incorporate various therapeutic models to meet my clients' needs. I am trauma-trained, which is essential for most therapy work. Most importantly, I provide a space full of empathy and compassion, which all people deserve in their choice of therapist. I view the therapy process as a collaborative effort, ensuring each client feels supported, cared for, and safe. From this foundation, the therapeutic journey can progress effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Together with my clients, I explore their goals for therapy and tailor my approach to their unique needs, integrating modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and solution-focused.. Many of us have a theme song to our lives, a common thread throughout many experiences that carry a significant meaning about ourselves or the world. When something happens in the present day that triggers that song to press play or to pull on that thread, that narrative is in control, and we are pushed away from the driver’s seat. My goal is to help my clients understand their theme song and to be able to regain control of the driver’s seat.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will start by understanding what is bringing you to therapy and to be able to outline what it is that you want out of the therapy. From there we will explore and understand the contributing factors to the difficulty you are seeking help for. We will develop a treatment plan utilizing evidence-based modalities to treat the problems, allowing you to reach your goals. Our work in subsequent sessions will depend on the problem we are treating. All sessions will have the foundation of my being present with you, and the content of our sessions will be centered around getting you to where you want to be.
