I’m Shunta Antwi, MA, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy services to adults across Texas. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about helping women navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and unhealthy emotional patterns. My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and judgment-free. I believe healing begins when individuals feel seen, heard, and emotionally safe. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain clarity, develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and create meaningful change in their lives. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while also integrating practical, solution-focused strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected so clients can better understand themselves and move forward with confidence and balance. I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when life feels heavy or uncertain. My goal is to create a space where clients feel empowered, supported, and encouraged throughout their healing journey. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, life changes, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to go through it alone. Therapy can provide the tools, insight, and support needed to help you move toward greater peace, emotional wellness, and personal growth. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and becoming the healthiest version of yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients can expect a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where they are encouraged to show up authentically and openly. I believe therapy works best when clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My counseling style is collaborative and goal-oriented. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, and develop practical tools to help you create healthier thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with solution-focused techniques to help clients gain insight, improve coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, emotional overwhelm, and women’s issues. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from carrying emotional burdens alone. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, emotionally supported, and equipped with strategies they can apply in everyday life. Therapy is a process, not a quick fix. Healing and growth take time, consistency, honesty, and self-compassion. Some sessions may feel deeply reflective, while others may focus on practical problem-solving and skill-building. Every client’s journey is unique, and treatment is tailored to individual needs and goals. Because I provide virtual therapy services, clients can attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of their own space anywhere in Texas. I encourage clients to approach therapy with openness and patience as we work together toward greater clarity, emotional wellness, confidence, and peace. Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous decision, and I am honored to support clients along that journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. In the initial sessions, I focus on understanding each client’s concerns, emotional challenges, personal history, and goals for therapy. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques, I help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, develop healthier coping skills, and create practical strategies for change. I work collaboratively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional overwhelm. Every treatment plan is tailored to the client’s unique needs and goals. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and equipped with tools to create healthier, more balanced lives through virtual therapy services across Texas.
