Sidney Hurley, LPC

Psychotherapist
MO
Hi there, I'm Sidney! I have been in the counseling field for several years. I graduated with my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2017. My passion is helping others realize their strengths and learning to use those in their lives to manage their feelings. I love working with couples and families! My approach I practice using CBT and solution-focused therapy mostly, but I have experience in multiple modalities. My focus I really enjoy working with kids and families as well as couples. I have a lot of experience working with individuals too. I have worked with many conditions and feel comfortable treating a wide range of concerns. My communication style I create a safe and warm environment in my practice with my clients. I believe calm and level-headed conversation is the key to providing good therapy. My journey to mental healthcare In 2008, my grandfather committed suicide, and I decided then that I didn't want anyone to feel the way he felt. I wanted to do everything in my power to help others feeling that way. So, I decided counseling was the profession for me. Creating real change in others is a passion of mine. My goals for you I include my clients in creating their goals. We take a teamwork approach together. My first session with you During the first session, I like to get to know you, your journey, and your goals for therapy.
