What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi there! I’m Sid (he/him). I’m a licensed social worker and therapist, and I believe that true, lasting change begins with a strong partnership- one built on genuine compassion, trust, and safety. Therapy shouldn't feel like a sterile clinical meeting; it’s a shared space where your internal world can be safely explored, understood, and validated. My practice is rooted in relational and existential frameworks. In plain English, that means I believe our emotional well-being is deeply connected to how we relate to others, and that much of our daily distress comes from life’s biggest questions: Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I live authentically? I don't show up to our sessions as the "all-knowing expert" who is going to fix you. You are the expert of your own life. My role is to collaborate with you, helping you define what success looks and feels like, on your own terms and in your own words. Outside the Therapy Room When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can usually find me biking along the lakefront, fine-tuning my sourdough recipe, or catching a ballgame over the weekend.
