What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to provide a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable discussing the challenges affecting their mental health and overall well-being. As a military veteran and therapist, I understand the impact that stress, trauma, life transitions, family responsibilities, and major life events can have on emotional health. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. I work closely with clients to identify their goals, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and everyday life stressors. I strive to meet each client where they are, recognizing that every person's experiences and journey are unique. Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or returning to treatment, I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care that helps you move toward healing, growth, and lasting change. Taking the first step can be difficult, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward improved mental health and wellness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy begins with getting to know you as a person, not just your symptoms. During our first session, we will discuss your concerns, personal history, current challenges, strengths, and goals for treatment. Together, we will identify what is most important to you and develop a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. As therapy progresses, I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs. Sessions may focus on identifying unhealthy patterns, developing coping skills, improving communication, processing past experiences, managing stress, and building resilience. I believe therapy should be collaborative, and I encourage open communication so we can adjust our approach as your needs and goals evolve. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable exploring difficult topics while gaining practical tools that can be applied in everyday life. Throughout the process, we will regularly review your progress, celebrate successes, and address any barriers that may be preventing you from reaching your goals.
