Psychotherapist
NV
"Even the darkest clouds have the sun behind them." – Ashley Ballard Sometimes life leaves us feeling hopeless and full of despair, but together we can explore the root cause of that hopelessness and help push those dark clouds back so the sun can shine through again. My specialties include working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and extensive childhood trauma. I also work with couples and families to help teach effective communication and decrease maladaptive habits. The treatment modalities I typically utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where we target any negative core beliefs you may have about yourself; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which is used to discuss mindfulness and cultivate self-awareness; Psychodynamic Therapy, where we use your past to explore any current routines or behavior patterns that are problematic; and, last but not least, I utilize play therapy with children to help them establish healthy boundaries with their parents and peers. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University. My sessions are often full of laughter and hope! It would be a pleasure to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
