Hello! My name is Jeannie Chai, a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and the developmental disabilities field. I've been working with individuals and families in the Ashland, Mansfield and Columbus (Ohio) area for 7 years, helping them navigate life's challenges and achieve their goals. My approach is collaborative, strengths based and client-centered, creating a safe space where you can explore your emotions and develop coping skills. I'm passionate about empowering individuals to build self awareness, resilience and a strong sense of self-worth. I'm looking forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey to well-being! I obtained a MSW from The Ohio State University in 2018. For 7 years I worked at the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a Service Coordinator; at The Nisonger Center as a facilitator for the Aspirations social skills group and ACE program. After I had my son, I decided to stay close to home, and I took a job as the Director of Operations at Statewide Transportation Services, which is an agency that provides home health and life enrichment programs for people with developmental disabilities. I have worked with individuals and families of all different ages, cultures and diversities. My therapeutic approach involves a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, with lots of focus on education about coping skills and mindfulness techniques. I look forward to helping you improve your quality of life and well-being!
