As a therapist, my priority is to create a warm and open space where you feel truly heard and understood to develop a trustworthy and effective therapeutic relationship. My approach My approach to therapy is integrative, based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life and already possess the strengths needed to navigate your areas of growth. I am an open-minded partner in your journey toward creating a more satisfying future. My focus Primary areas of focus include grief and loss, bereavement, depression, life transitions, older adults, intergenerational family matters, women's wellness, university students, and assisting immigrants through challenging times in our world today. My communication style Clear and open communication is a priority to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening so that there are opportunities to reflect on your experiences and address what you want to work on in your session. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. My journey to mental healthcare For over 25 years, I have delivered direct social work services to individuals, groups, and communities. Additionally, working with local non-profits and both state and private universities in the Los Angeles area for 12 years has allowed me to serve a wide variety of individuals, families, and group members. My goals for you By focusing on solutions and setting clear, actionable goals, we will chart a path forward at a pace that feels right for you. One therapeutic goal is to empower you to create meaningful and lasting change, one step at a time. My first session with you During your first few sessions, we will explore what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about the current state, what works and needs development, as well as capture your social and family history, as well as any medical information needed.
