Hello, I'm Solomon Berewa, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the Atlanta area. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I'm particularly passionate about serving adolescents and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Many of my clients come to me seeking help with depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, ADHD, and substance/alcohol abuse issues. I also have extensive experience working with individuals dealing with bipolar disorder, anxiety, and navigating life transitions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing techniques, and cognitive behavioral mindfulness. I believe in examining thought patterns, core beliefs, and behaviors to help my clients develop healthier habits and coping mechanisms. In our sessions, I focus on using relaxation and mindfulness exercises to teach you techniques that enable you to cope with difficult circumstances. This approach allows us to address the underlying issues that brought you to therapy in the first place. My style is warm, supportive, and goal-directed. When we first start working together, I make it a priority to understand the circumstances that led you to seek therapy. I strive to create a safe and engaging environment where we can build rapport and work towards your goals together. I received my M.S.C. from Fort Valley State University and have worked as a licensed clinician in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My experience spans working with children, adolescents, families, couples, minorities, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of my private practice, I enjoy listening to music and engaging in outdoor activities. I offer both in-person sessions at my office in Conyers and telehealth sessions for your convenience. I understand that seeking therapy can be a challenging step, especially when faced with difficult circumstances. My goal is to create an environment where you feel motivated and supported as we work towards your therapeutic goals. Using evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, I am committed to helping you achieve meaningful progress. If you're ready to take the next step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out and schedule a session. Let's work together to navigate the challenges you're facing and find a path forward.
