Sona Midourian, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am the Founder of Blooming Minds Inc. and a Board Certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. For the past 17 years, I have been dedicated to helping children, young adults, their families, and caregivers. I earned a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. My passion runs deep for my clients, and I am determined to make a difference in their lives as well as the lives of their families and caregivers. I began my early career providing public assistance to underserved communities. I expanded my work into child welfare services, supporting children, families, and caregivers facing behavioral and emotional challenges, financial difficulties, career obstacles, and domestic violence. I understand the importance of early intervention, timely assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans to help clients live independently, experience positive environments, and enjoy fulfilling lives to reach their full potential. I believe the key to self-sufficiency is assisting clients in progressing their expressive language, daily living skills, social and family interactions, academics, and career paths. I continuously improve my knowledge by attending conferences and workshops, always striving to bring highly recommended practices to my clients.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
