Stacey Callis, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Stacey Callis, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have been working in the field of social work for over 20 years, specializing in treatments for children, adolescents, and families. My services involve a collaborative approach with my clients to better understand their maladaptive behavior and thought patterns. My approach I begin where the client is, using a solution-focused approach. Some of the theoretical methods I incorporate in therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, strengths-based approaches, social-emotional learning, systemic approaches, and trauma-informed counseling. My focus I typically work with children, adolescents, and families to address behavioral problems, anger management, impulsivity, hyperactivity, anxiety, depression, peer issues, family issues, and trauma. My communication style I maintain a calm presence with my clients, helping them feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the therapeutic process. When necessary, I can be direct to assist clients in challenging some of their maladaptive behaviors and thoughts. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a passion for helping others, especially through my work with children and families. I believe many challenges we face stem from childhood experiences, and this belief motivates me to support children and families in need. Through my work in education, I have seen many students lacking the support they need to thrive fully. As a therapist, my hope is to help clients build the capacity to succeed in their environments. My goals for you I value a collaborative interaction with my clients to identify the personal goals they want to work on during therapy.
