Getting to know Stacey Gooden

Welcome to Beauty for Ashes! My name is Stacey, and I'm grateful to journey with you as we navigate this season of life together. Whether you are walking through recent stressors or have felt stuck in the same cycle for decades, it's never too early or too late to experience greater freedom in your life. My approach to therapy is kind of like a gardener tending to a plant that needs some extra TLC, gently coming alongside to understand it's needs and helping to restore the peace and vitality that it was created for. This restoration happens at different paces and in different ways for each client, so I enjoy using an eclectic approach, drawing on different modalities such as EMDR (I am certified in EMDR), IFS, mindfulness, CBT, and also enjoy incorporating Christian principles for clients who want to incorporate their faith with sessions. Additionally, I received my Masters in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University, and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2013. Wherever you end up starting your therapeutic journey, congrats on taking this brave first step of reaching out for support!
