Stacey Zimmerman, LCSW

Psychotherapist
KY
Hi there, I'm Stacey! It's nice to meet you. My name is Stacey Zimmerman, and I'm a licensed clinical social worker in KY, UT, and ME (soon to be AZ, CT, FL). I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Simmons College of Kentucky. My practice style is simple yet effective. I take pride in my values and morals to remain grounded in the golden rule: to treat others how you would like to be treated. I listen to listen; not listen to speak. Time and attention are always given. Humility is my centerpiece. My approach Human behavior, when placed in context, has ripples yet holds flow, beauty, and reason. Sometimes behaviors manifest from the chronic quest to survive, stay attached to one person, or adopt humor to make others smile. The science of human attachment has interested me for as long as I can remember. Attaching to folks around us, to ourselves, and to the world is a profound journey shaping many aspects of our internal world, especially our view of self. I utilize an eclectic approach because no two people are the same; however, the basis of my practice is authentic human attachment. Some theoretical approaches include, but are not limited to: EMDR, CBT, DBT, CPT, Emotion-focused, Gestalt, Psychoanalytic, Family Systems, and more. My focus I've had the pleasure of working with various populations. Nowadays, I see more adults than kiddos (this will change soon). I am happy to work with grief, stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment, OCD, ADD/ADHD, behavioral concerns, family dynamics, and more. My communication style My therapy style is down to earth, simple yet effective. I am compassionate. I listen to listen. I try to understand the entire situation, environment, and person before I speak. I'm a thinker and consider all factors before I speak, which is my proactive nature. Communication-wise,
